MAREN TUNA, SAGA & SAGA PRO - UNMANNED UNDERWATER VEHICLE (ROV) & PROFESSIONAL RESCUE DIVE SCOOTERS

The unmanned mini-ROV SAGA-PRO can dive to a depth of 300 meters. ROV means Remotely Operated Vehicle, i.e. a remotely controlled underwater vehicle. These ROVs are mostly available as cabled underwater vehicles. Such professional underwater vehicles and underwater drones are mainly used in the fields of industry, research, and science as well as by the police, fire department, and military.

MAREN SAGA & SAGA PRO - UNMANNED UNDERWATER VEHICLE (ROV)

MAREN SAGA – SAGA PRO – TUNA – UNDERWATER SUBSEA ROVERS ROV AND SUBSEA SCOOTERS

The unmanned mini-ROV SAGA-PRO can dive to a depth of 300 meters. ROV means Remotely Operated Vehicle, i.e. a remotely controlled underwater vehicle. These ROVs are mostly available as cabled underwater vehicles. Such professional underwater vehicles and underwater drones are mainly used in the fields of industry, research, and science as well as by the police, fire department, and military.

SAGA-PRO enables instant image transmission from the water with its high-resolution front and rear cameras and lighting systems that can move together with the camera. SAGA-PRO can be operated without a time limit as the power is supplied by cable. With the help of the robotic arm and various grippers, it can transport the detected objects from the underwater world to the surface. SAGA-PRO can perform appropriate search and detection activities even in waters without visibility thanks to the advanced sonar units that can be attached to it.

SAGA-PRO offers ease of operation with its high maneuverability and advanced autopilot features and can accelerate up to 3 knots. The system, which additionally has lightweight and easy-to-transport equipment, allows operations to be conducted even from a Zodiac boat. The SAGA-PRO model, which has a higher payload capacity compared to SAGA, offers the possibility of integrating additional equipment such as a metal detector, underwater location system, and 360-degree dome camera, in addition to the usual temperature, depth, and compass sensors.

  • Increasing safety
In many ways, such an underwater drone or ROV is the optimal tool for inspections, search operations, or even rescue and recovery operations. Such vehicles increase the safety of your task force, enhance their capabilities and increase accessibility and visibility underwater. ROVs thus provide increased safety during your operations. An underwater drone can generally be deployed anywhere a diver can also reach. Additionally, such an ROV can be dispatched to mission locations that may be too dangerous or unsafe for your divers.

  • Preliminary clarifications:
Drones are also often applied for an initial assessment of the situation underwater before divers enter the water.

  • Operational escort
Also a common tactic is to accompany and monitor the diver. The ROV is thus in the water at the same time as the diver and can transmit images of the status of the work or monitor the environment for hazards. Joint work, i.e., robots and humans are also among the common operational scenarios.

  • Capability enhancement
Humans can do many things. But there are things that machines are better suited for. Machines expand the range of capabilities enormously. For example, different cameras can be carried along that can see more than a human eye. Grippers can develop higher forces than humans or carry specialized tools.

  • Time saving
Professional divers can dive deep, but because of decompression sickness they need a lot of time to get back to the surface. Therefore, an underwater operation may not be fully completed or multiple dives may be required. This increases the use of resources such as time, manpower and cost of a mission.

MAREN TUNA - THE UNDERWATER SCOOTER / RESCUE SCOOTER / DIVER PROPULSION VEHICLE

MAREN SAGA – SAGA PRO – TUNA – UNDERWATER SUBSEA ROVERS ROV AND SUBSEA SCOOTERS

Underwater scooters allow you to significantly increase your speed underwater and the distance you can travel during a dive. The Maren TUNA is an underwater scooter for divers. TUNA can be operated up to 200 meters deep and for more than 250 minutes. The diver can adjust the speed during operation up to 70 meters per minute. The vehicle is powered by a controlled Li-Ion battery and a powerful electric motor.

The TUNA handle can be adjusted for both right- and left-handed operations. Additional payloads such as an action camera and compass help divers navigate and capture underwater footage. The TUNA information light indicates battery level and warnings during operation. A safety clutch, short-circuit, over-current, and over-temperature sensors further protect divers. In addition, water leakage can be detected by the unit and the batteries have low-voltage protection, reducing service costs.
